It was the Autumn and early Winter of 1943. In the heat of World War II, the tide significantly turned against the Axis powers, with major Allied victories. General Dwight D. Eisenhower became Supreme Commander of Allied Forces in Europe. Bing Crosby scored a huge hit with “White Christmas”. And Parker Pen Company produced this stunning fountain pen.
Immaculately restored, this vintage Parker Vacumatic Major Fountain Pen is a striking example of one of the most beautiful and advanced pens ever produced. Its color is the ever-popular Silver Pearl Laminated Celluloid with Nickel trim. Made in the 4th quarter of 1943, this 3rd generation Vacumatic has a plastic “Speedline” filler and a solid 14K Gold Nib, which appears to be a fine. Made in Janesville, WI, USA.
